A tablet computer is a versatile and useful device for at home and on the go, letting you browse the web, keep track of social media, watch films, and play games. This week on the blog, we’re going to take a closer look at the Samsung 12.2" Galaxy Tab Pro, and find out what it can do.
One of the first things you notice about the Galaxy Tab Pro is its large screen, which at 12.2 inches is one of the biggest out there. It’s also stunning to look at, with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 showing off vibrant colours and crisp graphics, meaning your pictures, films, and apps will look fantastic. The overall look of the tablet is great too, with a sleek white finish around the screen, and brushed metal effect band around the edge, which contains the power and volume controls, as well as the microUSB charging and connectivity port. The back panel of the tablet is designed to look and feel like stitched leather, which may not be to everyone’s tastes, but it does actually make it feel pleasant and sturdy to grip, especially when holding it with one hand.
The Galaxy Tab runs Google’s latest Android system, along with some of its own added features such a Samsung’s powerful Multi Window, which allows you to view several different apps at once on screen, so you could be browsing the web and watching a video at the same time.
It also uses Samsung’s new Magazine UX, a tile-based interface that gives you fast and easy access to all sorts of apps and information right from the homescreen. It can also be customised to feature whatever tiles you want, such as weather, social media, and news, each of which can be moved and resized to your liking.
Inside the Galaxy Tab Pro you’ll find an eight-core processor and 3GB of RAM, which means it can run apps and tasks with ease, and feels fast and responsive. You’ll also find a rear-facing 8 megapixel camera with flash for taking stunning photographs, and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera, perfect for video-calling family and friends over the internet.
The powerful hardware also makes playing games a smooth and stutter-free experience, easily coping with the most graphically demanding titles, and apps with more graphically intensive features.
The battery life is impressive too; with regular use it should last you a couple of days before it needs charging, making it very portable – great for long journeys or if you’re out and about during the day.
Overall, this a very impressive tablet with lots of great features and plenty of power under the bonnet. It can run apps, play games, and stream videos with ease, and let you browse the web and keep up to date with social media with a simple tap of the screen.
The Samsung 12.2” Galaxy Tab Pro is ideal for use around the home and on the go, and any member of the family would find it easy and intuitive to use.
