Posted 02/10/2013 by BrightHouse Team
The days are getting shorter, there’s a chill in the air, and autumn is closing in. A dull and depressing time of year for some, but for gamers it’s the premier season for new releases, and the perfect time for guilt-free evenings spent indoors. The latest consoles from Xbox and PlayStation will be arriving very soon, but in the meantime there are plenty of great games to keep you occupied, and fantastic new releases to look forward to. Here’s a selection of what’s on offer.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
This series now hoists the skull and crossbones, and sails its way into the Caribbean during the golden age of piracy, with Edward Kenway as its new captain. The game starts off in 1715 when pirates ruled the clear blue seas of the Caribbean, plundering and terrorising the fleets of the European powers. Assassin’s Creed IV promises more of the free-running, Templar-bashing fun of the previous games, but now set in a huge and beautiful open world, with sea-battles, underwater exploration, treasure hunting, and of course, swashbuckling.
