Weekly Payments

At BrightHouse, we know that not everyone can afford to pay up front for a large purchase like a washing machine or a sofa and not everyone can afford to pay a sizeable deposit payment either. That’s why at BrightHouse, we’re proud to offer customers weekly payments.

Our weekly payment option comes in the format of a Hire Purchase Agreement. If you wish to be considered for credit, you’ll need to apply online here or pop into one of our stores.

The vast majority of our customers take out a finance credit agreement with us, and it’s important that we form a long term relationship with our customers. It is not in anyone’s interest to over-extend, or put our customers in financial difficulty and we will support them through their time with us. We publish a Lending Charter that we strictly adhere to.

We are committed to helping our customers improve their credit rating, especially if they have suffered credit problems in the past and so we have compiled some simple tips to help improve your credit rating.

Never miss a payment - Easy Pay

With BrightHouse Easy Pay, we will automatically request payment from your bank each week. If we are unable to collect the amount due, we will let you know. Your bank will not charge you any set-up fees or charges if a payment fails and you can cancel it at any time.

Unable to make your weekly payment?

We understand that life has its ups and downs, and we are here to support you, our customer. If you are unable to make your weekly payment, we recommend the following action:

Immediately contact your store to let them know your situation

Consider your options to limit your exposure to late fees. Some of the options available to you may include:

  • Returning your item on a pick-up and hold basis, for a period of time, until your financial circumstances improve*. This means you will not lose any amount you’ve already paid towards your product.
  • Returning your items (some or all) with nothing further to pay*
  • Downgrading your items, to reduce your weekly payments. We can try and find you an alternative product which will reduce your weekly payment.
  • Rewrite you account to get you back on track (subject to continued affordability)
